I was unable to locate a replacement spring to advance the line in my trimmer. I was not even given a compatible brand to use to possibly replace it.

Missing part

Called customer service to tell them of missing part. Said they couldn't help me, but manufacturer would call me in one to three days. No call yet. It's been over a week. Had to go buy the part. $35 extra.

Need toolbox replaced

Kobalt - Need toolbox replaced

Got a toolbox at Lowe's Cobalt and they're guaranteed for 3 years not to be junk well of course I use mine I don't carry it around with a towel wrapped around it protecting I took it back they said it looks the little banged up it's a toolbox not a doll house of course it's going to get a little banged up if you use it but does that say that you avoid my warranty out because it looks a little banged up I think it's just a hoax that's just a bunch of bull that they are to be made to replace that toolbox from Lowe's I thought Cobalt stood behind her stuff looks like I need to start buying me another brand tools

Preferred solution: I just want my toolbox replaced l use it everyday so of course it's gonna get banged up, and every tool in it is a kobalt but it seems l should've picked a different brand Hassel free my *** !!!

User's recommendation: Don't buy kobalt tool boxes unless you sleep with your receipt or you're getting it for a fashion statement then you know you're not going to scratch it up

And still haven't been contacted by kobalt to try and resolve this matter it shows they received my complaint but must have disregard it soon as they read it so you tell me does it look like it's hassle free warranty!!!!! No it's all *** to get you to spend your hard earned money on junk!!!!!

Almost everyone of the drawers have dropped and lost atleast one bearing.The drawers get hung up every single time you open them and the bad thing is I've got it full of kobalt tools .lve always spoken highly about kobalts tools it's not like l want a refund or your first born I'm a mechanic so yes it's gonna get used can't expect someone for bring back a toolbox without a ding or scratch on it especially if they use it everyday so thanks for asking

Broken drill

Don't have receipt and no idea when purchased with in last few years, barely used,not working properly but because I don't have receipt I'm screwed, will no longer buy kolbalt if this is how they take care of customers, have several of their tools, will switch to different brand.

I feel that you have an exclusive on a product, which is a cobalt compressor and I was discontinue and now I cant get service on it after two years after it stopped working

Very dissatisfied

I bought the 24v Kolbalt drill. Not used much, but now doesnt work after battery is fully charged. I called and without the original receipt wont replace the drill. What really makes matters worse is they wont repair as well. Bought at Lowes and they direct you to Kolbalt. Very weak customer service and experience.

Defective battery

Had the battery less than a yr do not have Receipt. The battery went below charging and will not charge charger won't kick in. Lowe's said for me to contact you guys to get the battery replaced. call me at 903-276-**** Thank you!!

Missing parts

Ive had this garage shelf since May and since the day we got it, weve contacted the company about the missing screws. We even went so far as to go back to the company to see if they would give us the bolts and screws out of another box, only to find out that none of the boxes housed the bolts and screws!

We contacted the company immediately only to get 1 set of bolts and screws! We contacted the company again. The agent and I went over each item and he assured me he would sent the correct quantity! Nope it didnt happen, we got 2 sets this time!

The next time the agent assured me again I would get the correct quantity. I checked my email and the quantity was correct but my address was incorrect! Go figure! Since then there have been several other calls and we still do NOT have 12 of each of the necessary bolts and screws!

Oh did I mention they do NOT sell the correct size bolts and screws in the Lowes that I bought the shelf from! Its been a disaster

Would not honor warranty

Was given a a kobalt quiet tech air compressor for my birthday present from my wife along with the receipt that I cant lay my hands on right now in this shop and it has lasted around 6 months with a stated 3 yr warranty. It will not come on is the problem Im having and neither the store (Lowes) nor the company (Kobalt) will honor the warranty without the receipt thats what is called a $250.00 POS!! and so are the companies that are selling this cheap made junk. I will avoid at all cost buying from either of them again and would recommend the same.

Kobalt 1/2in Brushless Drill/Driver Model# KDD 524B-03 - Replacement

The Keyless Chuck on my Kobalt 1/2in Brushless Drill/Driver Model# KDD 524B-03 just "froze" in position and cannot be adjusted. Therefore I am unable to lock any bits into the Keyless Chuck. The Serial Number for the Drill/Driver is 029598. I really like this cordless drill and would like to have it replaced or repaired. Im trying to exchange a Kobalt tool, item #0672831. I was declined by employees at a Lowes store to do the exchange.

Im in need of assistance with doing so, and I would like to bring the inappropriate behavior of your customer service and employees to the attention of the appropriate authorities.

No where on the exterior packaging does it state a RECEIPT is required for the 5 year tool/3 year battery, warranty to be honored. It states, limited guarantee Common assertion would be, just that, this tool is guaranteed for 5 years. But this is actually deceptive, misleading, and creates confusion. Would it be normal practice to tear open a box in the middle of the store and read an entire owners manual before making the purchase?

Im pretty sure law enforcement would be involved at that point.

On 3.11.23 I went to the Lowes store in Buckhannon, WV. I drove 30 miles ONE WAY. To be told, I cant exchange this, you have to contact Kobalt, explain the issue, and they will give you a RA NUMBER, then bring the item and this RA number back to the store, and they could then exchange it. So I drove 30 MILES back home.

At this point I have wasted my day off, to drive to a store; to give me wrong information, ON TOP of $30 in wasted fuel- for the wasted trip to the store. On my way home my husband placed the first call. Reference # 424****. He spoke with Carlos who was accusatory and slanderous towards a disabled individual.

He insinuated my husband stole the tool or purchased it from a neighbor who was moving for $20. Demanding he has to prove ownership. My husband then asked to speak with his supervisor. He was placed on hold for an extended amount of time until, a female who STATED she was a supervisor answered.

Both of these individuals caused mental anguish to my husband to the point of having a panic attack in the comfort of his own home and then expected him to go to the store. For what? To get no where? and have another panic attack, suffer public embarrassment and slander, for .

NOTHING?!!! These customer service representatives chose not to help, possibly due to spite? Were they upset my husband became loud and upset on the phone, so they immediately decided to decline assistance. Even after he expressed his personal medical issues.

That he was not required to elaborate upon. This was only an attempt for the representative to understand him better, personally.

So next, I personally placed another call to the kobalt customer service number. The reference number for that call is #424****. Their first person I spoke with, was also no help, which I was expecting.

When I asked to speak to someone in a supervisor position above her, she had to make multiple comments, in short; stating, well they cant do anything for you either without the receipt. I then spoke with Jennifer, who STATED she was a supervisor. (Your company would want to listen to both of these calls.) She immediately decided not to assist me with the issue either. Speaking over top of me while I was speaking and attempting to obtain information.

This supervisor disconnected the line on me. She HUNG UP, refusing to transfer me to the complaint department. She refused to tell me why, I as the owner/purchaser of this product could not have access to the RA NUMBER

Is this how your representatives are taught to conduct business? Why did NONE of these employees try to assist us any further?

Why did this supervisor refuse to allow me to speak to HER supervisor and she said, Im the only one.

1.) I have spent $130 on a tool, that states it is guaranteed; when in fact it is not, because your company is DECEIVING its consumers and refusing to honor said warranty/guarantee thats clearly printed on their products outside packaging. 2.) Drove 60 miles, round trip, causing unnecessary wear and tear on my vehicle

3.) Wasting fuel for this 60 mile round trip. Will I be reimbursed for travel expenses???

4.) Now, Im out of $30 for the price of the fuel and $130 for the original purchase of the tool. Im now -$160

*$160 of my hard earned money, GONE.

Just gone??!!

*$160 TAKEN from my family and My entire Saturday also taken away from my family, GONE, WASTED!

I believe, it would be fair and appropriate that I be compensated for all of the above; given the fact Kobalt and Lowes was dishonest and deceitful.

Why? Because you cant stand behind this tool that has PLASTIC PARTS; and is DEFECTIVE, no matter the normal wear and tear on the product. Its been lightly used since bought. This issue is not the fault of the purchaser or user of the tool.

It is fully the fault of a poorly made, defaulty product.

Do I need to take my actions further? I have enough time invested now, that it wouldnt be an issue for myself to pursue.

I will start with reporting this concern, the company and the manufacturer; to the FTC. Then, an advocate at Americans with Disabilities will be the second contact I make. The appropriate individuals will be aware of the deceiving ways you ARE selling your products and conducting business.

And the way a disabled American was treated, and the fact this company refuses to stand behind the warranty/guarantees that are CLEARLY printed on the package.

Little girl it is common sense that you would need a receipt to return an item. It is NOT misleading and deceptive.

Law enforcement CANNOT do a thing. Not their fault your husband is upset over this.
