Tool defect
No answer have to leave a voicemail for a call back. Not really excited about that when youre calling customer service and its a phone number to where you would expect to be able to speak to a person.

Replacement
I only bought it about four months ago and I don't have the receipt for it and no box I have for it
I was just charging my flashlight, the Cobalt 6,000 aluminators, and when it was done, I unplugged it. I took the battery thing out, the one that you can recharge, and I let it sit on the table.
It exploded on me; it started to smoke, and that I spilled.
I bought it about four months ago, and I don't have any receipts. There's a few of my stuff in the bathroom that was all covered in black stuff from my flashlight.

Tool stopped working
Most of the tools and gadgets that I buy from this company has the warranty, but they neglect to tell you to hold on to your receipt and when it breaks within a 3 to 4 year span. Just under the warranty they tell you. All you can't do it because you don't have a receipt.
Went to pump the tire, ran a shut off. We take the car on road trips and were unable to use it. I rate the company 5; customer service stinks.

I'm the type of person that likes all his tools to match. But since I've received ur chainsaw as a birthday gift a few years ago I've been very disappointed.
I'm on my 3rd going on a possible 4th if I still use kobolt ever again. Each saw has died on because of the same issue with ur trigger n ur customer service in india can't tell me *** If the issue has been fixed or not.
I'm this close to starting another blog to crush n humiliate another company like jd buyrider on colerain st.

This is absolutely bs tht customers have to jump through these hoops after spending hard earned money at ur stores. I've been a dedicated Lowe's customer but I guess I'll have start taking my business to home depot along with many of my followers n their friends.

Tool burned out less than a month this is the 2nd one I've bought
Tried telling your rep I purchased this tool with store gift card to look up my phone number or license number but she was more interested in asking me what time and the date of my purchase.
This is the 2nd time the same tool burned up, I just wanted to exchange it for another one and was told I needed proof of purchase, I received a gift card which could be found with my phone number and driver's license but the lady didn't seem to care.

Beware of 40 volt battery's the Amps are reduced in my new blower
Did Chat with Kobalt/Lowes and they understood problem but had not remedy. I then wrote a letter to Kobalt on the fact that again my hedge trimmer purchased 2 years ago has a 40 volt battery with 136 amps and the Blower most recent purchase comes again with 40 volt battery but only 70 amps.
The battery does not have the capacity to do even a small yard correctly. I looked at the box it came in the other day and in bold letters it stated 40 Volts but does
This week with the contact mailing provided I wrote Lowe's/Koblat a letter saying the same. I just feel that if a company is building a brand one does not lessen the battery compasity as in my case from my trimmer that I purchased 2 years ago to my recent purchase of the blower. It really is a good blower but just is not dependable for my yard with the lower amps
This company is building a brand and with lessening the power length they are loosing my confidence in how company's go to market today. Buyer Be Ware

Bent fence on miter saw
Product has now been discontinued and I can no longer get any more parts for it and I cant figure out why cause its not that old and no longer will be purchasing kobalt products

Drill driver is inoperable. I called Cust service and said it had a lifetime warranty. Is their any way we can Exchage by mail?
No one was helpful. Just told me to return took back to Lowe’s since it had a lifetime warranty. All tgey ( lonely mfg) did was refer me back to mfg.

I bought the cobalt battery-operated weed eater at Lowe's last year. Actually, I bought another one this year.
The battery for the one I bought last year will not charge, and Lowe's refuses to do anything about it without a receipt.
Who the *** keeps the receipt? You can see for over a year, it just rips people off, and I need something done.

Awful service

I didn't have a receipt so i could not use my warranty. So i guess it is my fault.
So i went and switched to Milwaukee so i will give them a chance to see if there warranty is any better. But all and all i like kobalt tools but the warranty sucks
